“Its vibe depicts how I feel about my city, isolated, tryna just get out. Get away from that feeling of going crazy.”

If you know anything about the *real* Canadian hip-hop scene (you know, outside of Drake) then you’ll already know Kris the $pirit from his work with The Posterz. The Montreal group gained some much deserved notoriety over the past five years and now its members are each doing their own thing. Not too long ago Posterz member Nate Husser released Ghetto Rock For The Youth and now Kris the $pirit is set to release his debut album, titled Spirit Mode Vol.1, which will drop next week, on May 30th. In anticipation of the drop, the dude has shared the first single “Boy’s Krazy” with a video to match. Directed by Léa Dumoulin and edited by Félix Perreault, the clip is dreamy and introspective one featuring Kris riding around his city. As he explains, “Its vibe depicts how I feel about my city, isolated, tryna just get out. Get away from that feeling of going crazy.”
