“a brash celebration of creation. self love. sexuality. and pussy power!”

The oh so multi-talented artist Janelle Monáe has retuned to music after getting her acting chops on in some Oscar worthy films and we just can’t wait to hear her latest project due out at the end of the month. Titled Dirty Computer, it’s an emotion picture, which is being described as a narrative film and accompanying musical album. Monáe’s already shared stacked bars on “Django Jane” and made Prince proud with “Make Me Feel.” Now we’ve got the new smooth groove that is “PYNK,” made with the help of producer Wynne Bennett and Canada’s own Grimes (who contributed harmonies & vibes). Directed by Emma Westenberg, the video features frequent Monáe collaborator (and rumoured partner) Tessa Thompson playing as she puts “both a woman and a special part of some women”- and yes Monaé wears some pussy power pants. As the video caption reads…

PYNK is a brash celebration of creation. self love. sexuality. and pussy power! PYNK is the color that unites us all, for pink is the color found in the deepest and darkest nooks and crannies of humans everywhere… PYNK is where the future is born….

Watch the wonderful video for “PYNK” below.

Dirty Computer by Janelle Monáe arrives on April 27th, 2018.
