Listen to a collection of great tracks from the last few months, including Pinegrove, A$AP Ferg, Lane 8, and Sufjan Stevens.

It’s never too early to start looking at a Best of the Year list — it seems insane to think they’ve already started on December 3 — but I’d be remiss to jump over an exceptional batch of early winter releases.

There was a ton of catharsis from the music released this fall. We got some fantastic headline releases, like the long-awaited, happier Björk album, a collection of rewarding b-sides from Sufjan Stevens, and the return of Fever Ray. There was also excellence around the edges, as Bong Wish brought back a classic 60s sound, Baths made an organic-tinged splash after four years away, and Julien Baker “weaponized depression” with her head-turning Turn Out the Lights.

With that in mind, here’s a collection with some of the best tracks from September to November, mixed and ready to go.
