When you’re stoned and snacky, the last thing you want is a complicated recipe getting between you and your munchies. Here’s a look at our favorite snacks that are as easy to make as they are delicious.

It’s 11pm, it’s 5 degrees, and you’ve found the perfect binge-tv-to-consumption ratio. Suddenly the familiar pang hits and your mouth is craving something yummy. After many years of practice and, ahem, puffing, I have found a few go-to snack options I can throw together without losing my place in this week’s episode of Scandal (I love me some Shonda, sue me okay?)

PB and Choco Toast

One of my all time favourites. You need a toaster oven or at the very least a conventional oven. Toast your bread until it’s about half way done and then put a couple of chocolate chips and/or pieces of a chocolate bar of your choice. Toast until melty. Spread on a nut butter of choice, peanut butter being the obvious one.

Cinnamon Toast

This was mom’s go-to treat when we were under the weather or feeling sorry for ourselves. Toast some yummy bread, slather on some really good butter – lots – and then sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar. Enjoy. Option B – A big bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch will also suffice if you’re out of bread and/or butter and/or cinnamon.

Cheese Croissant

Yes, you can purchase cheese croissants just about anywhere. But this recipe is even better if you start with a plain one. Slice it length wise so it opens like a hot dog bun. Grate sharp cheddar, fill the inside. Place in oven or toaster oven until melty. Then close, add more cheese to the top, and heat for another 30 seconds.

Marshmallow Yums

You can use pretty much any cereal here; Rice Krispies are the go-to of course, but I recommend Corn Flakes, Cheerios, Cocoa Puffs, granola…and so on and so forth. Melt a pat of butter, add a few marshmallows and then the cereal. Once the cereal is coated, fold the mixture into a little bowl and grab a fork. Waaaaay better warm.

Mango Sorbet

I suggest mango here but you can really use any frozen fruit. Pineapple is nice too. Just toss some fruit into a blender, add vanilla Greek yogurt (the thicker the better) and maybe a little banana depending on the consistency you want. Ta-da!
