Get ready for Stranger Things Season 2 with this Domino’s parody of Ferris Bueller starring Steve Harrington.
Rushing home to beat your parents there after a day of playing hooky from school? Yeah, I guess. Rushing home to eat an entire pizza to yourself before your family arrives? Duh.
Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington in spooky 80’s Netflix series Stranger Things doesn’t disappoint as a modern Ferris Bueller-type in this new ad for Domino’s Pizza.
After saying goodbye to a Sloane look-alike love interest, Keery makes a mad dash home to get home for his Domino’s delivery. It’s literally a shot-for-shot reimagining of Matthew Broderick’s race home at the end of the original Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Bonus? An Alan Ruck cameo (who played Cameron Frye, Bueller’s best friend in the 1986 comedy). Not gonna lie, a Bueller remake with Keery in the lead role wouldn’t be so bad. And hopefully this spot will tide us over until Stranger Things Season 2 premieres August 31.
Check the second spot below. Also, I’m hungry.
