If you’re looking for ways to keep stress under control, these endocannabinoid system-activating
supplements could be a fast friend.

If you, like me, have a lot of stress in your life, you’re likely looking for ways to reduce the impact of that day-to-day stress on your body and mind. Though there are many natural ways to keep stress and anxiety under control (ie – staying active or getting a night of proper sleep), sometimes, even when we’re trying our best, it just doesn’t seem to work. This is why I started looking into different supplements that could help out. Enter: Emerald Health’s brand new naturals line.

Offering six different products; Endo Brain, Endo Sleep, Endo Calm, Endo Bliss, Endo Inflame and Endo Omega, the line addresses the body’s response to conditions like stress, anxiety, restless sleep and pain, and works to foster an overall state of wellbeing. It works by supporting the body’s endocannabinoid system with herbs and botanicals like ashwagandha, Echinacea, and organic hemp seed oil. On the package of the soft gels, it recommends taking two each day. From other reviews I’ve read, it helps to wait a few weeks for results.

I decided to test out the Endo Calm supplement and started taking one capsule in the morning and one before bed. Each 561 mg capsule uses what Emerald Health calls its full-spectrum PhytoCannabinoid Complex (PCC) mixture, which is a blend of non-cannabis herbs and botanicals that work on the same system that CBD does. These herbals and botanicals help relieve occasional stress and anxiety. After I took the first capsule, I didn’t immediately notice a difference. It just felt like taking a multi-vitamin and I was curious if perhaps I might experience just a placebo effect.

As the days went by, I did start to notice some small changes in my body. At first, it was just a general feeling of ease and relaxation. Because it targets the endocannabinoid system in the body, whenever I was feeling anxious, it would sort of balance me out. But over the course of the next few weeks, as I continued to take two gel caps daily for a month, I found that not only did I become calmer, but I had much better quality sleep. This is likely because of the Echinacea (among other supplements) which helped me drift off to sleep quickly without staring at my iPhone, endlessly scrolling for hours on end.

Okay, so I know what you’re probably now wondering: is it worth the $35.99 for 60 caps? The answer: maybe. It depends on what you’re looking for. Of course, a product like this isn’t going to actually take away stress or anxiety, but it could help you manage how you feel and reach a better state of relaxation while displaying greater mental energy. If you’re into trying something new (and natural), then go for it. Why not?
